Now if only the automatic version had an auto blip mode when you downshifted, would've made everything much more fun.

Agreed, a MX-5 MPS would be nice! Although l'm quite partial to the new MX-3 MPS.. could see myself getting one in 2-3 years :-D

why would an automatic transmission version need to blip the throttle on downshifts?
