As far as the RX-8, there might be, GRID focuses on Gran Am/GT/LM/ALMS/FIA/JGTC race cars, if there is a RX-8 it would be under the JGTC Japanese Grand Touring Championship , or as a drift car , since there is a segment that deals with pro drifting.
Either way , when it comes out it will be added to my race library for the PS3.

I have played the demo, its going to be a very good game when it comes out. Not as polished looking as GT5, but the fun factor is above GT5 IMO. Plus car damage, very aggresive AI makes the game gold in my book. Its more of an arcade racer than a simulator , I love GT5, but i can learn to love GRID to. The replays remind me of a action movie, very intense and the sense of speed is spot on!

Yah from the interview with the dev team. Japanse cars will be the drift cars, in the game. As for JGTC, i am not sure. The reason is, when the DEV talked about each region he says, When i look at America, its of the ALMS, Europe its GT and LM, and as for Japan its Drifting.
I do love the race cars that will be in the game, the sweet German touring cars alone are sick, can't wait to drive those Mercedes CLk-R's or the Audi RSR-GT. Sick rides! Hopefully the prototypes will be included.

This game should be good. I played the demo and the physics of course weren't as tight as GT but that's to be expected as this is a different type of game with a wide variety of different race types. I think GRID is built off the Dirt engine so the sense of speed and controls will be decent. The damage looks spectacular and its one of the best features of this game. I've thought the TOCA/ Race Driver series is one of the better racing games available so this game shouldn't disappoint.
And yeah, the DTM's are some of my favorites to race.

Oh cool.... well then its possible that the RX-8 might be a drift car? The demo had a Top Secret 240sx, maybe they will have the D1 Rx-8 in there, I forget which team sponsors the RX-8, not a big fan of drifting, respect it none the less.

i am just downloading the demo on my ps3 now.as well as i just went and prebooked the game.
oh yea about the damage on gt5 i was reading a article that in next update they would have weather change and damage, I am not to sure if it true or not but i hope they add both of the stuff

Once you get the GRID demo, smash the hell out of your car and watch the frame by frame replay. It's pretty amazing and realistic.

Sounds good but I need to practice the Grid demo a little bit. I've been so deep into GT5-P so I've only given grid a brief test run once or twice. My psn is JRichter.

Ok I finished installing the Grid and start to play. It pretty cool game but I don’t know if it good as gt5 ay, but I love the crash and the damage ay oh yea and the replay Is pretty damn cool to lol.

we should get a game going tonight. i should be home around 730-800 central. btw i only have demo. when i set up a room, i use setting

I take damage effects off (since its easier to find the room vs with it on which has like 20 rooms vs mine settings whi ch only has like 2-3 rooms.)

I play the game regular on the ps3, my id name is SPR-R935. I race all the regions, you will find me on the GT1,LMP1,LMP2,24 hour of lemans race,Ebay muscle car series,GT contenental series, Prestegious sports car series,touring cars,drift batttle,prototype series, and nissan cup car series alot.
