sorry but, like you said, u left it there for too long. and theres a burn in mark now.

What you can do is, wash your car MORE often now and the sun will take care of the rest.

Try the liquid wax from Johnson brand with a soft cotton cloth, it should be able to remove the stains... or a polisher.

Carry quick detailer and microfiber cloths and vow to never again let bird **** stay on your baby any longer than 2 or 3 minutes after you see it.

You can polish it out if you're lucky, but it'll cost you part of your clearcoat. I'll let others on the forum tell you how and with what.

I heard from a friend not long ago that bird **** if left on your car can and will permanently damage your paint. So you're prolly SOL.

Be sure to clean bird **** that lands on any rubber trim IMMEDIATELY. I mean ASAP!! I went to the beach one day, played volleyball for a few hours then came back to my car just to see a huge **** on the driver window/rubber trim. I had quick detail in the car and wiped it off as fast as I could, but it was already too late. The rubber had been eroded away leaving a indentation in the shape of the vitriolic bird poo.

To remove the stain, try using a stratch remover such as Meguiar's Scratch-X or a heavier duty rubbing compound for tough stains. Employ preventative maintainence and always have a good coat of wax on your paint at all times.

Depending on how deep the stain is into your clearcoat, you may be able to polish it out. Try Meguiar's fine cut cleaner.

Try a little ammonia, the detergent type - cut with water and use a soft electric toothbrush, (this will help lift oily proteins) and this should make a white foam, rinse and if it's still there, follow with water and baking soda (this helps neutralize bird stomach acid) - rinse, if its still there then follow with sugar on a lemon ( this is a mild abrasive and an acid which will react with any remaining baking soda, and again help remove oils and proteins) - don't press down too hard and you might be able to lift it without scratching -
Good luck, tell us what worked.

Keeping a good coat of wax on the car helps keep future bird stains from happening, too.
