Yeah... but the break is good. We sit in silence and gather ammo against each other.

I am SO looking forward to mocking Ferrari this year.

The U.S. racing season begins this weekend with the Daytona 24hr. If you discount the roundy rounders, then the next race of interest isnt't for another month and a half with the 12hr at Sebring. That seems like a big gap.

‘Impossible to be like before’ – Prost on Schumacher
Four-time World Champion Alain Prost believes that returning to his previous form is an ‘impossible’ task for Michael Schumacher, who made a Formula 1 comeback last season but failed to achieve a podium result in the underperforming Mercedes GP car.

Although history dictates that F1 comebacks are chiefly unsuccessful, Prost rewrote the rule in 1993 by returning from a year’s sabbatical to convincingly wrap up his fourth and final drivers’ crown with Williams. However, the Frenchman does not forecast such ease for the German.

“It's a personal decision and I respect his choice,” he told Switzerland’s Le Matin of the seven-time title-winner. “But nowadays and at his age I think it’s impossible to return to where you were before, although I hope he proves me wrong.”

I agree. It's not about the driver though imho, more about the long absence from a race track and the useless test ban.

Demands on drivers 'unacceptable'
Fernando Alonso settles into the new FerrariFormula 1 technical chiefs are to keep a close check on whether drivers are struggling with being asked to operate too many buttons on their steering wheels this year - with Ferrari suggesting the situation could have reached an 'unacceptable' level.

A number of drivers have already voiced concerns that safety could be compromised in 2011 because of the number of controls they are now being required to operate in the cockpit – which can be a distraction while they are trying to race their cars at the limit.

As well as the normal car items like radio, differential and brake balance controls that drivers will regularly operate on a lap, for 2011 drivers are going to have to flick switches to power up and activate KERS, as well as make use of the moveable rear wing.

Here's some other cool shots.

The adjustable rear wing is interesting. The rear of the car is very different from last year. The bodywork really dives down to the suspension. No more extended fins behind the intake.

'Senna' wins award at Sundance Film Festival
The film 'Senna' about the life of the F1 hero has won the World Cinema Audience Award in the Documentary category at the Sundance Film Festival in Utah. The film was released in Japan and Brazil last year and will be screened worldwide throughout 2011.

Director Asif Kapadia accepted the award on stage saying: "This is amazing, thank you so much. This festival has restored my faith in festivals. It has just been amazing and this award tops it off."

Senna has to go and win everything, doesn't he? Not only the races but continue to win after his death. That is a true winner

Love the black and gold livery. Hate that Lotus now has 4 cars on the grid and none of them are actually Lotus'.

Tony Fernandes (Team Lotus's owner) bought the Lotus racing name from the guy last used it in 1994.
Lotus Group (The group that makes Lotus Elise, Evora and such) is buying stakes from Renault Racing (which was Benetton, and before that Toleman)

Basically yea, it's all a big mess and we are all confused lol... I'm looking forward to how pundits are referring them this year.

You can't have one car used by 2 different teams according to the rules. Red Bull & Toro Rosso had to defend that they were using different cars.

2 are Renaults (just like last year).
2 are called Lotus but not related to the road car manufacturer or Colin Chapman.

None are actually Lotus chassis or have anything to do with the road car company.

What would Colin think if he were alive today.

I believe the pundits will refer to the cars as Renault and Lotus just like last year. That way Team Lotus (the green car) wins the publicity since the black car will be a Renault.
