Official 2011 Formula 1 Season Discussion
You can't offend me
It's just that a "Ferrari 150" is not a Ford 150. They're not using a trademark, just the same abbreviation that refers to different meanings though.
It just makes no sense, they could use it to their advantage for some advertising along the lines of "F150, so good that even ferrari copies our name".
Stupid, stupid ford.

I really don't think anyone is going to confuse a Ferrari F! car with a Ford Truck. I would tell Ford to get the hell out of my court room.

We don't need Aust GP - Bernie Ecclestone
more @ http://www.stuff.co.nz/sport/motorsp...nie-Ecclestone
I know there are Aussie's (and others) that would be interested in this news.
Formula One boss Bernie Ecclestone says he "doesn't need" the Australian Grand Prix on the F1 calendar.
With debate about the value of the race once again rekindled, Ecclestone has strongly hinted Australia would be one of the first races to be axed as he eyes new, more lucrative markets.
Ecclestone says his Formula One Management company, which controls the contracts for all grands prix, does not want to expand the program so inevitably some races will go.
"Twenty races is enough," Ecclestone told German media, in reference to this year's schedule.

Bernie is drolling at the thought of a NYC race. They even have a spot picked out to put a track within the city on Staten Island.

I think Bernie feels the US is a big enough country with enough economic power that it could learn to like F1 racing and support 2 races. Probably NY in June to go with the Canada GP and Texas at the end of the season to match up with Brazil.

Speed had DTM. Also WTC & BTCC. They play them during the winter months and I think these series are over. I just saw the final DTM & BTCC this week. They also have the European GP2 series that run on F1 weekends.

Hellmund Reveals Ideal Date for USGP
http://www.pitpass.com/fes_php/pitpa...s_art_id=42937
After a few paragraphs of trivia to make the article longer and make him sound informed, the author finally get to the subject. As the temperatures for the June date is 90+F/30+C (with humidity on top of that), Hellmund would like a fall/autumn date for the race due to the cooler temperatures. This fits with my analysis in a recent post about a possible NYGP.
