A bit more trivia: The first RX-8 Grand-Am ST cars (like the FE cars we all drive---not the GT 3 rotors) ran on Motec engine management. This means the RX-8's stock ECM or ECU or whatever we choose to call it (like a Cobb) was a Motec. Plugged right into the stock wiring harness. someone on stream said the #70 collided with Seb boardais earlier causing rear end dmg, took 6 laps to do the repair, thats why the 70 dropped.
