Not an RX8... but came across an R33 today

I was late on my way to work on I-287 this morning around 8:30am when I glanced over to the other side of traffic (heading towards Perth Amboy). I was shocked when I saw a Silver R33 Nissan Skyline driving in traffic on the other side. I followed him until he passed the edge of my window.... then until he disappeared from my driverside rearview mirror. It was the coolest thing I've seen on the road so far. If I had the $$$ I'd be driving one right now.... that's one lucky guy.

Are Skylines that rare in the US?

Bloody dime a dozen here in Australia, see probably at least 3 or 4 driving to work every morning.

32, 33 and 34's are everywhere, admittedly most are GTS-T models with GTR badges, however see a legit GTR every second day.

Cheap here in Oz as well, a 99 R34 GTR will cost you about the price of a RX8, while 2 R32's can be had for the same money.

From what i understand, Skylines were never sold in the states. They're all imported. Awesome vehicles though...

As far as I know, Motorex is the only company that imports and legalizes skylines.

Although I did see an RX-3 on the way to work today

Those old-school Super ADVAN Racing wheels are so freakin' awesome. If you can find the old ADVAN A3A wheel, I'll sell you my soul.
