We're so nice here to members with other cars lol. I posted pics of my 8 on my350z.com and got flamed on how underpowered it is and how Z's are better

 

yeah i posted on a Z forum as well. they didnt say i was underpowered but some said there just not a fan of the new GTI's. to each there own i guess....but SI forums are really good as well. especially 8thcivic.com there some pretty cool people on there as here

 

In the end we are all car enthusiasts... i don't get why anyone has to flame on anyone over what car they decide to drive. We all pick our own cars for our own reasons... some people are stupid.

i feel like alot of people miss that when they flame...its obvious they flame either cause there jelous or they want to make u jelous of themselves. either way its just a forum....im sure if it was a meet in the street they would show more respect.

My dad has an A3 2.0T with DSG that he drives as a commuter (it gets awesome gas mileage). It's a pretty nice car - the engine is pretty awesome (it being automatic aside). Your VW is really clean - I especially like the rims.

an aside: remember that DSG is an automated manual. it has a clutch, its just operated by computer.

Very nice my brother has a 2007 MKV GTI imported from the US...although I like the fact that he has dual zone climate control and AMAZING heaters for the seats, and the fact yes he can put *alot* more things inside the more practical hatch form. No doubt with only a few mods it will be quicker in a straight line.

However, it rides worse than the RX8, has that damned throttle lag (HATE THIS SO MUCH), and well when it comes to handling and driving feel it loses to the rx8.

My brother does very much so enjoy the RX8 more, except he barely fits inside one because of his tall torso lol!

 

Very nice looking GTI. I was considering one before I bought my RX-8. They're gorgeous cars, with lots of modding potential. And the versatility of a hatchback, to boot!
