The hardtop is an add-on. Once installed you can take the hardtop off easily with 2 people. Switch back and forth from softtop to hardtop. Some people who prefer the hardtop look remove the softtop completely (which seems retarded to me unless you are really into racing) and just go hardtop.

Most hard tops are prone to snap off in hard cornering

Just thought I'd point it out. Has no relevence to this discussion tho. :p

Really? I had never heard that before. There's a reason to not spend the $4500 ( ) Honda wants for the hard-top. I've always chuckled at the "serious" racer wannabe's who put the hard-tops on because "it adds rigidity and strength." No it doesn't. It's still a convertible. It's still going to twist and flex. Now put the top down on your convertble and enjoy the elements and the drive.

Yeah, to be fair, it never happened to me either ... but I've heard grumblings from picky owners that it could happen :p Whiners!
