The New Saab 9-2X
It's also a very nice car. We went to one of Saab's ride & drives last weekend and had a chance to flog the 9-2X Aero, along with the new V40, an RSX, a Jetta, and a Mini Cooper. It was an automatic, which sucked, but the car rocks.
My wife is seriously considering one for her next car. Why not get the WRX, you ask? GM Family First pricing, my friends.
The 9-2X is a sweetheart, and considerably more refined than the WRX. The Volvo felt like utter crap. The stability control and ABS were out of control, and its cooling system sprung a leak. Awful.

It is a Sube, through and through. Another great name in automotive history bites the dust.
GM says it will soon close the Swedish manufacturing facility in Trollhattan, where Saabs have been built for decades.
I wonder why they even bought the company. To destroy it?

I'm not even really sure why they're even keeping the Saab brand around any more. Mazda has shared stuff with Ford for a while, but still has its own unique products and identity. Saab on the other hand has become nothing more than other manufacturer's cars with a Saab badge on the front and those funky air vents inside.
