I really like the new lines. The previous Miata never appealed to me, but this one looks meaner IMHO. Can't wait until one of the mags do a road test.

I'd certainly trade my 8 for the new miata if it had the same engine - just think of power/weight and the engine sound without a roof!

Either the April Motortrend or Automobile said derogatorily that the big ellipse in the front bumper makes the car look like the Pilsbury dough boy. I think that although they could have made the ellipse asymmetrical in any number of ways, which would have made it more conventional, the symmetrical ellipse gives the car a unique character and will grow on people. I feel this is another deliberate decision Mazda designers made; it is not an oversight.
