Laser ignition? Sounds interesting.

 

even the laser ignition is old really. there was talk about that months and months ago. its ODs mantra now.

Will this be the replacement for the rx-8. I mean they have announced that they are using an improved rotary witht the skydrive system and yet they release info on a supposed new car. I would rather them release this and skimp on the new engine for the 8

 

The only way for sure is when it hits production and dealership showrooms.

 

Ive seen pics of this car... The interior is sick and very futuristic to me, which is sweet. However the outside is UGLY!!! Let's hope they come out with the RX9 with this engine. Look it up its pretty sick

 

There is no RX-9.

The last legitimate Mazda rotary concept was the Taiki, a highly impractical overly futuristic car that supposedly really had an early version 16X powering it.

I hope we do get REAL rotary news and a new, practical concept before long.

i expect some consistent news on mx-5 and next rotary at Tokyo Motor Show 2011...

maybe one or a couple of "concepts near to production" like minagi stands for cx-5
