NEW MAZDA 6 "Spy Pics"
using hydrogen will eliminate flooding =D
but in theory, DI should give a good boost in fuel economy for the rx-8. it is a good addition to the turbo motor, the speed3 and 6 gets decent mileage in city driving from what i read.

IMO one of the best Mazda's EVER made.
It was well loved by journalists when it came out here in the US, but they made very few improvements through its lifecycle and was outdated, outpowered, and overpriced by the time it went adios.
Sounds a bit like the RX8 sadly.

Well I'm very concerned about the Mazda 6. I plan on buying one once the Buick dies.
But now the enlarged version. Don't know don't need it.
And you can't beet Toyota by along shot. The interior is now where near as comfortable. Mazda will loose all the time.

Toyotas sell on reputation and not because of driving quality.
The problem is that Mazda doesn't have that inflated reputation so they have to work harder for sales.
I hope the 6 doesn't bloat like the VW Jetta, but a bit larger here and there won't hurt things, IMHO. The CX-9 is heavy, but it still seems to handle well and Mazda 2 is a bantam weight. I think Mazda engineers are a smart bunch.

Many of us here were thinking at the bi-annual Tokyo Motor Show this October....
SO WHAT IS MAZDA GOING TO SHOW AT TOKYO???
PERHAPS THERE MAY BE SOMETHING TO DO WITH THE RX-8 AFTER ALL??
A MAZDA 3 REPLACEMENT IS NOT DUE TILL NEXT YEAR....

And the new mazda6 interior will be the basis for the next RX-8 interior

Well the car is still looking pretty good, but the back end just looks huge to me. I know the back window of my 6 is hard to see out of.

I imagine it will now need back up sensors so idiots don't run over their kids.

no the oddly shaped concept cars are done for now- no more until whatever they show at Tokyo- which hopefully wont be "weirdly shaped" .
see there has been a time trend to each concept. the First - Nagare- was the farthest from possible production20 or more years away. the next- Ryuga- was something closer something you could see in less then 20 years possibly 10 years. Hakaze was even closer- something you could see in about 5 years.
now that last one in Tokyo? how about something that will hit the road in 2 years or less?
