For some reason, I think this Mazda 6 looks much better than the Mazda 6 we have in the States.
It looks sportier, hmm,
HMM ... Is it coming to the US? guess not
I looks a bit like the Mazda3 + Hyundai Genesis's Rear ....

I was disappointed when Mazda did not go with the rest of world 6 and gave us our very own over-styled and oversized 6 for North America. And then they axed the hatchback and wagon.
Compared to the Honda Crosstour, the 6 hatch is a work of art.

i just wish they came out with a mazda6 coupe to compete the accord coupe. these sketches look amazing.

This pic refer to the EU "Sport" version IMHO..available in some markets (In Germany, UK...not in Italy).
Not a bad work, i' dont like so much the current sport version..this looks better.
In another forum there is a picture of a brochure leaked and 2.0 DISI engine is citated...i-stop too.....
i post a link of a pic of current sport version EU (called SAP)

Matt, the pics are of the Japan Mazda Atenza face lift..
Which as we know will be the same/similar for Europe, Australia and Asia..
The new look has the "family" 5 point 'smile' under the grille/bumper, and the more stylized Fog lamp bezel design...
I think the headlamps could be slightly larger or longer also.

Actually there are 2 version of bumper in EU.....this one refer to "sporty-one", maybe they have cutted the "non sporty", but the spy pics of white Mazda6 (see topic of mule) the front bumper is different from this one....
we'll see ..
The front is a little boring for a facelift (not a bad thing though). I like the rear.
Now, give it AWD and 270+ hp and I'll love it long time. With a happy ending.

My daughter's 2003 silver Mazda6 GT, soon with my stock '8 wheels, will look better then the "new" US '6, imho. They should have stayed with the same form-fit here, but I guess there's a perceived need out there for a larger variant.
I hope Mazda can justify screwing up when they supersized the US version in terms of sales numbers.
The global version looks sweet. The version we have here looks all puffy and bloated.
The differences are subtle, but the effect is severe.

you can see from the comparison below the changes.
The lower grill has been changed from the more squarish previous gen opening to the more pronounced 5-point.
the fogs have been moved over the "oil cooler" openings and the shape of that opening is changed.
the little slit openings under those are more rounded in shape
the floating mazda badge has been given a new hanger which is different in shape and hangs the badge from the top instead of the middle.
subtle but i think nice changes.
they ought to sell that wagon in the states.
i do wish for a coupe as well. 3/6 what ever mazda needs a scion / toyubaru fighting coupe.

the 3 is the one with the smiley face and the 6 for europe looks alot better than the bigger one here i still think the us six is the best car in its class imo the rest of the cars in that class are too bland and boring
I just REALLY dislike the big smiley fronts. I don't even like the 09 rx8 front.
