New cobra radar design...
So I came across this gizmodo article... I personally don't like the cobra brand, they seem kinda cheap to me. I use a valentine 1 currently and it is the ****.
This article:

However, sites a new kind with a touchscreen which shows traffic cams and all that jazz.
Not sure if it shows direction like the V1 though...
Just thought I'd share with you guys.

Maybe they are getting better, but I doubt it. Every cobra radar detector I have seen is a POS thats not more than $40 used and sometimes even less.
It seems to me companys that make crap products always try to add a bunch of unique features to make you think its something special and then it has so much stuff it can do it doesn't do any one thing well or correctly.

A good thing about that one is that nobody is going to know what is stuck to your windshield. It looks like a SiFi weapon.
I had a Cobra about 10 yrs ago. It was pretty good. But, recently it seems they were going cheap.

cobras suck, they spend a lot of time making the outside look nice without improving anything on the inside.
I like my 8500 x50, but you really can't go wrong with anything from Belscort or Valentine.
