New 2014 Mazda 3 CAR and Driver review!

2014 Mazda 3 s Hatchback 2.5L Automatic Test – Review – Car and Driver

Great review of Mazda 3.2.5 Auto...

Also vid from Autoblog with Dave Coleman (MNAO) on the Mazda's 4:2:1 Exhaust Manifold/Header now used for the first time in the new Mazda 3, also used on CX-5 and new MZ6.

But for the rest of us, and we may be a comparatively small group, the 2014 Mazda3 is more fun to drive than any of its peers. It's also attractive, reasonably priced and can be loaded up with cool technology and safety equipment.

Put as plainly as possible, the new 2014 Mazda3 is our favorite car in the compact class.

great review and rightfully so as I think Mazda has a real winner on their hands here.

Maybe I'm nitpicking but am I the only one that thinks this Navigation looks terribly out of place?
It's like they designed this gorgeous interior, sat back to admire their work and suddenly someone said,"oh crap, we forgot about Navigation!"
no problem, just stick a tablet looking thing on top of the dash, problem solved.

So for me, the big question remains...when will the 2.5 be available in manual?

I don't think they expect many people to get nav. The last model had a 2" nav screen.

Way too long presentation....and positioning of user features is called ergonomics...but good.

He should get to it and say 'WE' copied it from BMW.

Mazda 6 and CX-5 gets the same system from October production, about now.

Man, I'd love to see an RX8 with this level of detail and design. A heads up display on an 8 would be awesome.

I've noticed the sedans are starting to show up at dealerships now, yet you still can't build one on the website. Come on Mazda!

Straight from the F30 3-Series. Which was actually the design benchmark for the MZ3 .

From the AutoBlog review... Some misinformation.

" front-end geometry that is exactly the same as that of the well-regarded RX-8 and the current MX-5 Miata"

that was a media all day ride and drive event. there were 3-5 different speakers each getting 15-30 mins plus a q&a before the track and real road driving portions. you can find each portion by looking at the uploads of the account that uploaded that one

I like the car...

As a first drive review, I prefer the TTAC one: Capsule Review: 2014 Mazda3 | The Truth About Cars

To me it looks like a combination of a hatch and a SUV.
