Midnight Club: LA has an extremely fast sense of speed and instead of looking like a deserted town w/ a few civilian cars here and there it is full of functioning traffic, pedestrians walking around, and crashable objects everywhere with no framerate issues whats so ever. As long as I don't put Midnight Club back in then NFS isn't unplayable. The cop chase scenarios are still much better in NFS than Midnight Club though just like Most Wanted/Hot Pursuit was.
LOL! You know I just started noticing that when you are doing 230+mph, the police trucks keep up with you or they blow by you! What is up with that? Since when can trucks pull off 230+mph? LOL? Its flat out crazy!

I have the Ps3 version too, the frame rate sucks, you would think were playing this game on the PS2. 30 FPS is tolerable for a racing game, but it should not drop below that no matter how many vehicles are on screen. EA/ Black box should be ashamed of themselves for making a borderline last generation game for this generation harware. I guess that is why EA is laying off 6% of there staff.... there lack luster games are finally catching up to them.

Overall i give the game a 7.5, if my wife didn't buy it for me as a gift, i would have rented NFSU.

Can't wait to tryout MNCLA!!!! Dub Edition remix was hot! Some didn't like the style of racing or game play, but I loved it, the sense of speed is nice....something about going 200mph on a city street sends shivers up my spine! My favorite MNC has to be MNC2, had a overall good feel to the game and a very nice soundtrack to boot.

Yeah, would probably give it a 7 something myself - a lot of fun can still be had and the car selection in probably a little better in NFS. I never played any of the previous Midnight Club games so LA was the first one I tried and I was impressed. It's extremely fast paced and the customization ability/options blows NFS away.

For some reason my photos look all scrunched and distorted once they got to EA's site (notice how tall and narrow the M3 is? Looks like a 1-series... WTF?). This isn't how they looked on my HDTV screen. Forza's photo mode owns NFS's in all aspects but anyways...

I've 'aquired' the game, and I'm depressed at how horrible the RX-8 is. I've dumped all my money into it so far *Still only on the Street packages...* and it understeers into the wall every time. I shoulda kept my MazdaSpeed 3

Jrichter you M3 is sweet! Love those rims and paint scheme on her!

Here are some pics of my 478HP Gallardo! I didn't know when you go to the website under your profile , if you look at your photo gallary of cars, underneath it tells you how much HP/ Trq, 0-60, 0-100 and 60-0 times are for the cars you own. Can somebody tell me why they didn't add this info to your personal garage? Lazy , Lazy , Lazy E/A.....

Working on my next project, the ultimate Lambo, already pumping out 625HP running the ultimate engine and nitro package, still have 3 more ultimate packages to go!

It could be good news if someone else would pic up the series and fix what needs to be fixed. It's had its ups and downs and it's like they just rush a new one out each year without completely finishing/polishing it here lately.

Yup , its true... there dropping black box, the division that does the current NFS games. You should try the games out, there alright. Rent NFSU , the best one out of the series IMO and others agree as well was NFS Most Wanted. Its a PS2 title, the game is very fun and addictive!

E/A is a very greedy company, the reason why there getting rid of the series is because this current game didn't sell well in there eyes. It sold good, but not to there expectations of like 800k copies. They thought this NFS was going to be the grand daddy of them all to bring the cash in. The game sold very well though, but not enough for E/A. That is why I really have a hatred for E/A , they got into a bad rut of making cookie cutter games that offer no real content of evolution.Yet they expect you the customer to run to the stor and buy there lack luster titles.

Biggets POS cookie cutter game from them has to be Madden. Its the same freaking game with added players every year, and they polish up the graphics. There is no diffrerence wether your playing Madden 2008 or Madden 2006, the only difference I notice is the change of players and graphics. Yet the mindless sheep have to have the latest Madden every year to be let down by the same old tired football game from the money hungry E/A. But this rant is for another day!

Take for example in the NFS series , if you look back at the body kits section, in every game they use the same body kits from the first NFS underground. How can you put a 90's body kit on a 2005 vehicle and why would you? You would think somebody at E/A would tell there design team to come up with some new body kits to fit the newer generation cars. The first Underground was featuring cars from the late 90's , the Integra type R, R33 and 34 Skylines, Supra, 3rd gen and 4th gen Mitsubishi eclipese, ect. Those kits worked perfect for those cars.

By the time they hit Most Wanted, the kits were tired looking. They added the auto sculpt option to create your own kits, which I did 95% of the time, that option allowed you the user to creat your own fresh kit for the modern cars. How come E/A couldn't create new kits for us? Lazy.... that is what they are.

If you play the NFS games in the near future i would say play Most Wanted first, the first NFS Underground then play NFS Undercover, don't even bother playing the other three as they suck so bad!

i agree with you. only game from EA that i liked this genration is Mirror Edge and Dead Space. all their normal IP's look very boring to me. I use to their like the FIFA series, but that was like 5 years ago lol. To me, EA feels they are so elite (due to causals buying up the Madden series ever year) that their shxt dont stink.

Which is why i am glad that Rockstar didnt do any buisness with them. tired of seeing these big companies who once made good games, now make shixxtty games. such as Square Enix, i use to love their RPGS. But now tey just make crappy ones hopeing ppl will buy them up.

Mirrors edge is good, it actually impressed me , short game ,but a good one none the less. Dead Space is good too, very brutal on the gore factor! Almost felt dirty playing it!

I beat the game last night, the ending was lousy. I accidentally went to the last mission instead of going to the two major missions that lead up to the last mission , and the story became out of sync. E/A should have never let the last mission become available until you beat the final two major missions, just shows **** poor planning on there part. Another issue I have , its says i have a 100% of the game complete when i still have 11 races left? I know these races are a sub part of the game, but its still part of the game none the less. E/A, E/A....

Anyway here are some final pics of my black devil car!

Sweet Murcielago! Liking the major wheel lippage.

Yeah, the ending sucked. You don't even get any money for the last 3 or 4 story-ending events. You would think they would give a bunch of cash to play around with once you beat the game but no (they want you to spend real money at the Playstation store). This is why I started over as soon as the credits came up so I could do every event before the story event to see how much money I could get. I lost out on a lot of events the first round because I was just going from one master/story event to the next a lot of times. Once my Carrera GT got impounded (because I didn't have the money to pay a $12,000 bill once they caught me w/ 4 flats- not because it had 3 strikes) I had no Tier 1 car to even finish the game with (I used the Gallardo to finish). I spent like $450k on the Carrera GT and lost it on the first pursuit mission because of a $12,000 bill. Then after doing the last 3 or 4 events the game ended and I had no money to get anything else. Huge let down. I don''t know why I'm playing through it again - will be traded off this weekend.

wow. btw trade it in for Grand Theft Auto 4. i played taht game about 6 times already. i never played a GTA game before, but that game is fun and it seems long . i didnt think i would like it, but after playing for 2 hours i got hoooked. the Lighting in that game is nice, espeically with the neon lights etc.

also if you want to play a FPS game, Resistnace 2 is fun, especially online competive mode. i havent played Co OP due to my blue tooth headset broke. should be getting some time this week or next.

sorry for the thread jack lol. you guys can continue with your thread now

Yeah, I still have GTA4 and actually never completely finished it. It's been several months since I played it so have been thinking about jumping back into it - it never gets old. Probably on one of the best all around games out there. Also thinking about Resistance 2 and still haven't played Fallout 3 yet. Some pretty good stuff to chose from here lately. I'm (always) itching for another decent racing game, though. The wait for GT5 is brutal.

I was surprised that this was available for the PS2, so I bought it (yeah, I'm too cheap to buy a PS3... maybe when GT5 comes out). NFS Undercover pretty much sucks for the PS2. I think they took out a ton of content to make it work with the PS2. Quite a few of the cars that I've seen in the PS3 version are just not there (S15, 370Z, GT-R, just to name a few Nissans), the car mod options are pretty bare with very few aftermarket wheels, the same crappy bodykits as previous NFS games, and I was able to finish the game in maybe 5 or 6 hours.

No problem for the thread jacking alfy....
Speaking of GT5, do you guys still play? We all need to meet up and race online.
Any recent updates , Christmas is around the corner, usually Polophony treats its fanbase with a gift of some sort.

I have been looking for it, and its never at game stop, its like the game vanished all of a sudden. It figures, i hold off till the price comes down to get it, now when i am ready to get it, there are no copies to be had.

Tomorrow Amazon suppose to have some crazy PS3 sale on all of there games,(like 50% or more!) I hope to get a copy through them. That and Grid should be able to tie me over till the full version of GT5 comes out.
