My Prelude bit the dust

So I was heading to work today cruising between 25-35 and I was taking a left. In the middle of the turn this guy for some unknown reason decides to BRAKE out of no where so I turn to the right and I could feel my car sliding so I bounce of the curb. As I hit the curb I am turning left and I hit the median in the middle of the street. Pictures coming. If you cant notice the back right tire is slightly bent too.

That blows man. I had a red 98 Prelude that I (painfully) traded in for my 8. Sad to see another one being towed.

Mine retired with a nice old family on a nice little farm somewhere in the Midwest where it plays with other Preludes on an open track.

Well my insurance adjuster is going to look at it within the next business day or so. I'll have more info then. KBB says my car is only worth 6300$ in fair condition....

I'd say more than 3k. The guy at discount tire just to fix my springs and struts was 700$ bucks including labor. The rims need to be repaired. Air bags replaced. Axles control arms and maybe a bent frame. The air bags must cost atleast a couple grand.

Well I found out it was a total loss. If anyone wants to purchase the car as a whole let me know. I'll sell it really cheap. I just need 1500 or so for a down payment on a different car. ASAP!! Everything is in good shape besides the damage that was done. The engine is fine. It has 137k miles on it. Complete tune up done every 5k miles. Whoever buys it should EASILY be able to get 1500 for the parts alone. I just dont have time. I need to get a car ASAP.

Why would they flame? Prelude is a respectable car. Isnt like its a cavalier or something.

So i guess you're at fault.

Miata's are low on power when it's stock but the aftermarket support is enormous. With a simple and cheap turbo kit, you can run circles around most cars you bump into on the road.

I wish I could do that. I am not a mechanic and I dont have raw cash like that. I went and test drove a Z28 today. VERY nice VERY clean!
