I'm really loving this car as a daily driver. The same gas mileage as my Focus, faster, more fun to drive, and no more annoying shift logic in that Focus' dual-clutch transmission. My daily driver has to have an auto as the agreement I made with my wife when I bought my 09 RX-8 (manual transmission) so that she could drive it when her car is in the shop, etc. If I have to drive an automatic, this one is a good one, and is a blast in Sport mode.

all seriousness, congrats, car looks hotness, the wife and I went to look at one but couldnt justify the price and lack of space in the rear seats and trunk, does it have the funky nav?

 

Man I really like the look of the new 3 and 6. . . makes me wish they still had the Rx-8 model in the lineup. Also can't wait to see what they do with this design on the new Miata too.

Thanks for the comments, all. Yes, it has nav, although I'm not sure what's funky about it. The display is that one that sticks up out of the dash. The MyFordTouch system in my Focus had more features and was easier to use while you're driving, but it was also much slower.

I will be getting some aftermarket wheels for summer use. I'm not terribly fond of the OEM wheels, especially with the Soul Red Metallic color. Right now I'm leaning toward the TSW rotary forged Interlagos wheels in black.

 

Now you have the 'best' car in that segment on the planet from the current production selections.
Nice addition to the garage.

 

I wouldn't worry about the Aha lacking features for now. It is made to be expanded in the future. Very jealous of the new infotainment that didn't come with the '13-14 MZ6 and CX-5 .

Anyways, congrats! Good choice on color too! Interesting fact... Foglight housings are the same exact housings found in the RX-8.

New summer wheels for the new 3 arrived last night:





They were on closeout at Tire Rack because they're discontinued, so I got 30% off the price, which included the black lug nuts. Now I have to stare at them in my basement until next spring.

the new 3 and 6 look GREAT and I suspect will continue looking good for a long time - as compared to the new Focus, which is already looking kinda dated
