I would like to point out that jump starting a car with another car is usually not the best idea. Cars now are very easily damaged from voltage/current spikes from jump starting. Cause most cars uses PCMs/electronics to control fine things like fueling, ignition advance/retard and A/C. I would consider telling your friend to get a battery pack likey one w/fuses if this happens to your friend often.

No wonder he was talking a bunch of crap about your car. Should have got a pic of his 3-gallon bottle of Haterade...

No No No!!!!!!

Don't hook your 8 up to a Civic like that! It'll get *cooties*! Better take your car right in to the dealer for a cootie shot! :D

It's actually very safe to jump start a car. It's all about technique. The key is that you do not try to start the other car with the donor car still running. You should connect the cables first without either car running. Then start the jumper car and let it run awhile. Then turn it off. Then attempt to start the other car. If it doesn't, shut it back off and repeat the step. The important part to the electrical systems is that they only ever see one alternator in the system at a time. If a second one comes in there may be a slight spike for a moment and this can do damage.

Well, if he knows the price of the 8, which I am sure he does. And, he is familiar with other cars in the price range. Why does what he drive have anything to do with his opinion of the materials in the 8?

To sillygrl's friend, you brought this on yourself by ragging on your friends car. Be a little more supportive and stop ragging on your friends car...and I think we were pretty nice about it too.

Your rx8 is very very nice, I am in need of a spoiler and I would want the exact one you have. May I ask who makes your spoiler and how much you got it for. Thanks!

Hey sillygirl

How much did the Mazdaspeed wing go for?... Could you take some pics looking out the back window just wondering how much the view is obstructed. That would be a great help.

Nice job on your 8 silly
