Base 04 6 speed with a few extras will run you around 24-26k.
I'd be shocked if he gets anything over KBB for a trade in.

Well, I suppose if we argue semantics it could be taken like I believe the drivetrain efficency is higher, although I don't know why I would be speaking about the drive train. I was more speaking to the performance of the car as a whole. I know what I am talking about :p

The small difference in drive train lost is minimal in comparison to the traction advantage you get during acceleration on the RWD, due to the shifting of the car's weight. Therefore, a RWD car actually has a rather large advantage in straight line acceleration, and I guess could be considered as a more "efficient" use of the shifting weight. Tada.

Excuse my ignorance but why would you put a new turbo kit on the car and then turn around and sell it two weeks later? And why are you so hell bent on a trade with someone on this forum? Why not put it on autotrader, sell it, and then stop by Mazda and pick out an RX8? I'm sorry but this whole story sounds fishy. 19k invested, brand new turbo kit, and now you want to sell it....are we missing something...maybe that the engine blew, or tranny, or car is having problems with the new kit?

if you read my very first post i stated why:

"I am going to law school next year and I need a nicer carthat I wont be tempted to tune"

I really dobt have time to mess around with it, take it to the dyno get it tuned etc etc.. I need a reliable car with a factory warranty that i wont have and inclination to modify heavily. An rx-8 or a 350z would do that for me.

I can assure everyone that there is nothing at all wrong with the car, I am approaching law school very soon, and I believe this to be the smartest option for me.

It sucks that I am foced to sell or trade, but I was left with no choice really. Everything is fine with the car, i just dont have the time to tune it etc...

azian6er sounds legit. Saw his car on the Protege forum.

Did you try eBay? Might be worth the $50 fee to see if it reaches your reserve.

ebay is a possible option, but it will be really hard to sell it for 22-23K
