Must Have NEW Hand Tools?

Received in the mail today a 182 page Sears Craftsman power / hand tool catalog. The number of pages devoted to different types of ratchets and wrenches etc. seemed mind-boggling. Are there any ‘ MUST HAVE ‘ hand tools new on the market one should add to their tool cabinet?

If the Craftsman catalog is a teaser you damn sure better stay away from the Snap-On catalog. Then there are all of the specialty tools.

My collection started with the 348(?) piece mechanic's set. Once you start buying, you just can't stop!

As a side note, Craftsman’s quality is not quite on par with Snap-On but they are a TON cheaper in price. I can get the full range of Snap-On tools through my college for 50% off and at that price they are still more expensive than Craftsman.

Ratcheting Box end wrench are pretty nice to have so you don't have to pull it off the nut/bolt and try and slide it back on a bunch (in tight places of course). That is the only one thing I can think of.

The Craftsman Locking Flex Ratcheting Wrench Set. It's not cheap.....but it eliminates the need for a lot of separate tools. It takes ratcheting wrenchs to the next level.

Tools

I got a part time job at Sears strictly for the discount on tools and so I could be sure I didn't miss a sale or craftman club special.

I have to say its a bad thing......I've spent much more than I've made.
