Motor Trend 5/08: CX-9 Long Term Test Update

Glowing words again for Mazda big ute. One editor said he enjoyed it as much as the Jaguar XKR in their fleet and continues to impress. It reaffirms their making it 2008 Sport/Utility of the Year.

Average MPG was 17.0 over 13,208 miles with zero problems. Just for comparison with other SUVs in their long-term fleet. The smaller Acura RDX has averaged 17.6MPG over 15,708 miles. That's not very good for the RDX. The Honda CR-V is 21.9MPG over 10,975 miles and the Audi Q7 is 14.0 over 21,359 miles. The MB GL450 finished the year at 15.5MPG over 25.771 miles. The CX-9, Q7 and GL450 are all around 200 inches in length.

Go Zoom Zoom!

That's the next "wife-mobile" for my crew.
Really glad the CX9 is getting great marks for the long term reviews.
