What is the most worthwhile upgrade for an rx8's performance thats relatively inexpensive?

 

i took off the piping before the filter box and the tray beneath it. you will have to take off the bumper to get to it but it is suprizingly easy and it makes a small different with performance and sound. and its free! let the beast breathe

 

Upgraded sway bars front and rear. Try Raqcing Beat. About $300.

Handles like a champ with a lot less roll when cornering.

Pretty inexpensive, while providing a substantial performance gain in the sound.

 

what about for straight away or something to boost the torque is a intake a good investment or are their other things better

 

There really isn't anything that's going to make much of a difference. Unless you're just after more sound or don't mind paying a lot of money for a small amount of HP then you're best leaving it stock for now. As far as intake goes you could end up doing more harm than good, even if you don't have problems the HP gain is miniscule.
