(EDIT) I put the seats at an angle like that to prevent direct sunlight from heating them up too much

Cool car indeed and fun to drive. I left away jealous that it had partial hard pipes and I didn't. It's shifter was much better and felt tighter. If only they had a coupe.

Basically, if they see you roll up in an 8 then that's a shoe in. They know that you can afford that car and that you could be a potential buyer. Just look at the car ask some questions and say your "interested". Talk over with them, sit in it, and ask if they are willing to give a test drive. Each dealer is different so they could be on that "You have to buy before you drive" kick. In which case you tell them to...
I don't know if that will actually work. I usually say I want a test drive. I have driven a rx8, Mazda6, Mazda3, & Mazdaspeed MX-5, among other cars. I usually don't go to dealerships for test drives but I wanted to drive these and I did.
I would love to drive an 8 again. It's weird how that's the only car (besides the Acura TL) that I have been longing to test drive for an extended period.

Very nice, the one I drove was silver; actually thought about getting it as a second car for the wife/third car for me...
And the MS Protege is a great car also; one of the guys that used to work for me picked one up at our dealership last year and he loves it... I have driven them, they drive real nice...
Enjoy...

I just have one question......aren't they changing the style of the miata for a 2005 or 2006 model? and if so will the new model be available in mazdaspeed version??? or will they end the mazdaspeed with this generation

From what the dealer told me (by the way he is totally a cool guy) this is the end of this model special car so like, i guess the vette with the Z06, or mustang with the cobra the MS will return after sale of the new model plateau.

RX- Hachi,
To tell the truth i go for the Miata keys more right now. summer time ..i can put the top down..it is new....annoying red light racers seem to leave me alone (right now). Very good queston. I will update you after the new ness wears off.

Check out the official...
...Miata Coupe site from Mazda Japan. The design is very cool indeed...to me, has some FD in it, especially toward the rear.
I really wish I could justify the want of the MazdaSpeed Miata...it looks great and (very much like our 8s) every reviewer has come away very impressed. It really is the perfect summer car. I wanna' test drive one...but my checkbook and fiance may have something to say against it! :p
