my friend thinks he can "blow me away" with his 160 hp scion AT and i have a mazda 6 right now. is he full of it or what?, and a rx-8 probably can smoke him 2 ,wen i get mine in janruary, what do u guys thinks?

One of my friends has a TC and took a ride in my car. He was very impressed and did not think he would stand a chance even though I was not pushing the car extremely hard.

He could have been just being considerate though.

 

Highschoolers will boast endlessly about how their cars can "smoke" everything in the world. Even if he had some super beefed up TC, I wouldn't really care even if he COULD beat me in a (drag) race, they're boring. Take him to an autocross or a track event and show him what real racing is like.

For now, just let him live in his little dream world, he'll grow up eventually.

Heh. I've been arguing about the same topic at work. My friend has a AT tC. I have an AT RX-8 (07). Hes added mods to his car, maybe a 10-15 hp increase in total. Wants to race me, to show me that he can win. I always say no though. But I'm sure I won't lose either way.

Remember, street racing is bad.

 

Unless you suck at driving the 8 wont lose.

the TC is an economic cheap car.
the 8 is a refined sports car.
the M6 is a sedan.

No comparison as they are all different. Hence, no hands down winner.
