Cool.... we knew this was coming!
I hope this is a lot cheaper than the convertable, otherwise wouldn't most just by the miata and get a hardtop? Although this will have more power and more rigidity.
Is this the body they might use for the RX-7? hmmmm.

Yep we knew, theres at least 3 other threads which have done this.
It wont be cheaper than the miata, its more exclusive, costs them more to make (as its lower volume) and it'll be better round a track (much stiffer chasy).
Its not the body they'll use for the RX-7, its a low volume modified old sckool miata body, max 1000ish units production.
I'd guess the RX-8's body will be for the new RX-7 and miata.
