looks pretty good--I dont think the fender flares look good becuase they look like they are taped on

Not immediately, but I suspect it will in a couple of years.

Remember all the false rumors about the next generation Miata being based on the RX-8 platform? I think this may be the source of those rumors.

Not that one. Bob Hall explained it on Miata.net forum - he said that it will only be produced in very low numbers at a significant price premium, and the only way Mazda could justify the production investment was to use low-yield body dies. They are much less expensive than the regular high-production tool steel dies, but they can only handle limited production volumes. There's no physical way that Mazda can produce that coupe in significant volumes, and in 2 years the NC Miata will debut (without a coupe version).

...looks like a mini-piston-powered-RX-7 to me, wrapped in a Miata skin.

...i think i'd just as soon get the vert and the hard-top snap on thingy. those rule (doesn't spoil the shape like that fast back).
