Mazda First Half Profit up 18%

the article goes on to mention pooere than expected sales in China. However it fails to mention the suspension of production for months in China earlier this year due to some suspicious maneuverings by the Chinese government. The plant which produces MAzda3s is operating again now. Strangely enough one chinese company affiliated with mazdas chinese production has announced it will be building its own cars as well- which look suspiciously like mazda6s and mazda3s
Mazda Motor Corp said its first-half operating profits jumped 43 percent on rising sales in Europe and the United States, and revised up its forecasts for the full year.

Japan's fifth-largest automaker said operating profit reached 69.76 billion yen (591 million dollars) in the six months to September on revenue which rose 12.5 percent to 1.52 trillion yen.

Net profit fell 12.5 percent to 27.21 billion yen compared with the year earlier period when the automaker had enjoyed large one-off gains related to pensions.

Excluding such one-time effects, net profit rose 18 percent, said Mazda,
