Mazda to Debut new vehicle at LA AUto SHOW!!
I think they'll keep using the turbo 2.3L as the top of the line model engine, with the 4WD. That is good news to me as it makes the lineup more interesting, with 3 engine choices. I hope the weight increase wont be much tho...

The Mazda 3 uses the Ford Focus platform , so it's no
great revelation that the new 6 will use the new Ford Mondeo one.

the plaform isnt the "mondeo" platform. it was developed as the next gen mid size platform by ford and Mazda M6 will get it first followed by Mondeo as well as some next gen cros over vehicles

I want to see Mazda make this Iosis ,,This thing is HOT for a sedan !!!!
But this is a Ford project. Am I right ?
I would buy this car in a heart beat. Put a rotary in it. I know that will not happen.

Note the headlights how they stick out just a tad lol, the small camera on top of the car and the equipment on the dash. Without the real headlights in and a better angled shot I can't say I like it.

but whats important really about my post earlier is that it is being debuted IN FRANKFURT which is BEFORE LA. which means the DEBUT field for LA has been narrowed even furthur

I read that on the msprotege forum that the Mazdaspeed 6 will make a return in 2009 with a DISI 3.5L V6 turbo pushing close to 400HP, I find it hard to believe since it'd be unlikely for Mazda/Ford to push the limits of the new V6 after 2 years of release tho. But with 400hp, the MS6 will be a super sedan!
But there are strong speculations that the MS6 line will continue.

its true-ish. i ve seen info that they will certianly do a MS version of the new Mazda6. My understanding is that it will be using anFI version of the new 3.5litre. and as Bascho can tell you Ford has already been putting that engine thru its FI paces with TCs and SCs. 400hp is an easy target.

besides they like to show the new Mazdaspeede/MPS cars in europe firstI hope it's a better change than the new Altima that looks barely new even though its been refreshened all around.
