Mazda CX-5 takes top spot in new Side Impact Tests

Current CX-5 is the only small SUV to take top position in all new IIHS Side Impact Collision Test at 37 Mph (60 Kph)

Mazda use expensive ultra high strength steel in main Cabin framework in ALL current Mazda's
One gets what you pay for.

This is one of those, you hope you never need it but glad you have it things.

Glad to see they're still doing well in these tests.
I haven't read up much on the findings overall but were there any manufacturers who's scores dropped significantly?

Only the cx-5, from 20 suvs tested, raised a good score in overall protection. In essence 19 failed, Mazda passed.
