Mazda 6 new models

Got this in email from Mazda this morning, and thought some of you might find it interesting:

Great news! We know that you're excited about the upcoming release of the 2004 MAZDA6 5-Door and Sport Wagon. Did you know the MAZDA6 is the only mid-size car with a choice of three body styles? And, now that the MAZDA6 4-Door Sport Sedan is an Automobile Magazine "All Star" for a second year in a row, we couldn't be more proud!

We are happy to announce the 5-Door is already on the way, and the Sport Wagon is scheduled to begin shipping in late March. The 5-Door and Sport Wagon are for people who need the flexibility of a large cargo area, but don't want to give up the driving dynamics of a sports sedan. While the 5-Door has the aggressively sporty good looks
combined with liftback versatility, the Sport Wagon is designed to be just as much 'sport' as 'wagon'.

Watch for both arriving at your dealer soon! We encourage you to take a test drive. Click here to find your nearest dealer: www.mazdausa.com/dealers/default.asp. (Please keep in mind, depending on where you live it may take up to 4 weeks to arrive in your area. Contact your dealer to check inventory before your visit.)

Want more product features and details? Click here for additional information on the full MAZDA6 line-up: www.Mazda6.com.

Want to receive the latest news, updates and offers as they become available? Click here and we'll make sure you are kept in the loop: http://www.mazdausa.com/MusaWeb/disp...pdated.action.

Thanks for your interest. We hope to see you behind the wheel of a MAZDA6 soon!

Zoom-Zoom!

Regards,

That's an awful big hatchback to lift up, I hope the hydrolic lifts last. Other than that, it's a nice looking car.

It's an old rumor, here's a photo of the concept. I'll be really shocked if it makes it to production.

Last I heard was the AWD Japan-built Atenza(Mazda6) would be imported in LHD limited quantities as the Mazdaspeed6.

I would think that Mazda wants to make a Mazdaspeed model for all of their cars just like AMG does for Mercedes. With that said, I bet the Mazda3 and the RX-8 have first priority for Mazdaspeed treatment.

Not just an old rumor. Mazda just showed a 280hp turbo 2.3L wagon at the Tokyo Auto Show. They called it "Mazda 6 Mazdaspeed A-spec." But the car was jdm for 2005 only.
