the1jesster: Duh... A nice Camaro or American Car V6 can rape an 8. Part of the history behind that is the rotary engine. Many have failed trying to get it right and is part of the reason why Mazda is the only company to keep producing it. about 200Hp N/A with no turbo off a 1.3L Renesis Engine speaks for itself. You my friend, are strongly suggessted to trade in your RX8 and buy yourself a POS Muscle Car that is plain and has no WOW effect, with such poorly designed interiors. You must have bought the wrong car. If Mazda was to have dropped the 20b's into the RX8... Im sure you wouldnt be commenting the way you are, and thats probably what you would like to see according to your comment, however there is not a big enough Market for Mazda to Invest into doing so.

All this talk about gun metal wheels reminds me I need to wash my car which has gun metal wheels  Maybe this thread will be dead by the time I get back?

Mike--- STFU. You have the same POS 4 port as I do. You have not seen me drive. Ask Izzy when we run Boquet CYN. You know nothing. Of course IZZY will now Pawn my ass because he got a lot lot better at driving. Im 100% Izzy or myself will leave you in the dust on a Canyon run. :yesnod; Im willing to put money on that. :smoker: You got to "Drift Night".. which is FAIL. Especially in an AT 4 port. Cmon Mike you know better than that. You can't drift a 4 speed AT. <---Period

^Its pretty hard when you cant "Bore, Stroke, Better Sleeves, JE Pistons, Upgrade Camshaft, Titanium Valve Springs, Stainless Steel Valves" a Rotary. Remember.. there is only 3 moving parts. Its pretty hard to work with that. If you have a solution to do so, along with being SMOG approved. Please post it here and foward a copy to Mazda.

^ how i said before... there is not a big enough market for Mazda to make such an engine for Reliability and SMOG problems.. at least they are/were working on the 16x.. but even that seems to be failing :yesnod:.
|
i actually agree with zumn, after the nightmares mazda went through with careless fd owners they wanted something the average joe non enthusiast would not have trouble maintianing
|
Thank You Mike, at least someone understands me. :uhh:.... Mazda is just going to have to stick to their MS3's and MS6's for quite a bit longer, while us Rotary Owners keep hoping for a More Powerful Rotary Engine :tear:

im just saying, dont compare it to Piston Engines. Its not as easy as many would think, everything is always easier said than done. "oh just supercharge it or turbocharge it'... when Mazda cant even get it right when they did Turbo'd the RX7 im pretty sure they are not going to turbo the next RX. 16x PLEASE COME SOON. Do we have to get the Aliens down here to work some real science or what? :suspect:

^ Not to mention the Racing/Competitive sports that have Banned the Rotary Engine.

Well I think Mazda finally got the RX8 right with R3 editions, besides forgetting to slap on a BBK. Other than that... its perfect.
Realy? In a world were base Mustang and Camaro are getting 300+hp and tq v6. At least I know you will be smiling when some broke ass shirtless redneck rapes you at the light affter cashing his wellfair check and heading back to his sweet single wide and accomplishing this in his Mustang 6banger with 16in rims and single exhaust. Hay at lest the R3 owner can say screw spending 18grand I spent 30 and got some sweet shocks and O man wait till you seem me stop super fast. All I am say is give me a stock option to avoid such an emarrassment:Eyecrazy: Sad, but true. Mazda has work to do. In '04 when the 8 first arrived, it was very competitive, but sadly, today it is woefully behind the competition in the power department. Side note...I do think that sedan looks really good with those wheels but it might look better with the smaller '18s from the MS3. Those look like they have to be the '19s. |

Torque steer like a mofo, it actually pulled me into the next lane the first time I popped the clutch out of 1st. By the near end of the test abuse drive, the clutch was smoking out of the hood. Before anyone says anything, YES I know how to drive a stick. The whole thing just felt like it was going to fall apart around me. It was fast though...

and while he said how much he hated the r3, look at his sig... this must be a joke

I believe he is talking about a MS3. Very confusing post, but nothing he mentioned about the test drive relates to a 8.
Torque steer? Very fast in 1st gear?.. |
This whole thread..

Yeeeeeeeeeeeaaaa, my bad... I test drove a SPEED3 and hated it. I wonder if this Speed3 with the R3 wheels will increase demand for graymarket R3 wheels. Maybe I can dump mine and get something else... Sorry for the confusion/derailing of thread guys... :beer05: |
