Love this old skool pics!!
Me too, I am Z homer for 90 Z cars and earlier. Pdxhak is right , back then they all borrowed some styling cues from one another. But when the finish product was done they all had a distinct look about them.
I think designers back then had more freedom then present car designers. You could really see the heart and soul put into each design, detail etc. Back then you brought a car instead of a rolling appliance of today.

Not hatin' at all, just don't know why someone would spend so much for a gnose front when it takes the look away from being a Z to the general look alike. I really like the one's with the lip spoilers.
I see a bunch of Z's, old one's. they are definately eye turners.
I just prefer more distinctive cars, hence the three I put up.
That's why I've been an rx driver and I'm working on an old austin.

UGH! You had to bring that abomination wagon back from the dead!!!!LOL! I though I got rid of that car from my child hood memories! My child hood buddy families had that wagon, what a POS! It was so claustrophobic in that ride , uncomfortable, and it would rock back and forth like a big boat because of its crappy springs everytime you would come to a stop. My buddy was so embarressed, I would be too if my pops came home with that boat from hell.LOL!
The Mercedes gullwing are gorgeous, only saw one in my life , I was in Boca Raton Fl visiting family, and across the street a guy just had a mint one siting in his garage, a older gentlemen in his late 70's . We talked and I was drooling like a dog wanting a steak!
Mercedes did a helluva job on that car!

If you never heard the Hakosuka Skyline GT-R ripping down the track then this is for you. Nissan's inline 6 will always be one of my favorite sounding engines. The high pitch whine combined with some low end growl gives it a very unique sound.

Damn that video put a smile on my face!
The sound was intoxicating coming out of those pipes! What a machine, very cool to see the well seasoned race car driver leave with a smile on his face, you can tell he got a rush driving that classic Skyline racer.
I want one!
