Looking for new car

Ok so like the title said I’m looking for a new car, mostly cause mine is starting to **** me off. Its flooded 3 times in the last 2 weeks after being driven around for 30+min and turning it off like normal and also when i do the 3k rev shut down. Now it has also stalled(Auto) out on me when at a red light the other day when I gave it gas and I only have 48.5k miles on it. Now this isn’t my first rotary car, I also have a 1990 rx7 which I’ve had since 15 which hasn’t given me this much headache in such a short time.
So I’m looking to trade my car in and get some thing that looks nice, 20+ mpg in city, RWD/AWD/FWD(that order please), under 25k, 04+ year model, nice cornering ability, 4 setter that can fit 4 people, no verts please dont like the look.
A few I have thought about are
1. WRX
2. Lancer
3. Rsx
Last resort civic(yes it might come to this, hope not but it might)

So let me hear what car other people can think of that I should look at, since I been out of the car loop for most of the last 2 years since being over seas.

Test drive an '04-'05 GTO M6... I know, I know, it's boat and it can't possibly be able to handle. Just test drive one before you buy so you can rule it out. You can get one for song now.

1. WRX- i only like STI
2. Lancer- Not really a fan of them, because i an STI Fanboy
3. RSX- FWD and dont care for them at all

so my option would be a S2k. but 4 seater is a must i see, so hmm 2004 IS 300 (which ever the altezza is. i cant remember which IS that is. )

What about hatchbacks? The Mazdaspeed3 and GTI would both fulfill your needs...

I have been looking at the 3, ms3, and the 6 aswell. Also never said anything about no hatch's, only said no verts.
alfy28 i'm also a fanboy of the sti but like I said under 25k and all the one's that catch my eye are around that or higher in my area right now.

MS3, GTI, WRX, MS6. RSX over Civic. Not a big fan of the last gen Lancer other than Evo.

So I went and tested out an 09 MS3, 08 m3/m6 and liked the MS, just not the FWD part, so does anybody else have one or any complaints about them? Dealership wants 25.5k for it with me getting an 6.87% intrest(only 22), car has less then 12 miles on it. So some one give me feed back please.

$25.5? is that invoice? Seems high, and so does the interest rate.

See if you can't locate a local 08 MS3 to get a better deal.

I think out of those, I'd go with a WRX. Sounds great, has AWD, comfortably fits 4, etc. Plus it's not hard to up the boost.

I thought it was kind of high aswell so I walked away after I got the interest rate. Not really wanting an 08 cause it wasnt much diff in price.

the wrx is a nice car but have ALOT of tranny issues theres been 5 ppl i kno of that had to get a new tranny and one of them is driving the 08 sti had it a couple months then the tranny went out not the clutch the whole thing so look into what car seems to have prob. before buying anything.

I know tons of WRX and STI owners with only 1 or 2 of them with trans issues. The WRX 5 spd is fine if you don't drive it like a $1,200 Honda. And the STI trans is renown for build overbuilt and rock solid. A trans problem in an STI is rare.

It's nothing I would be concerned about. My 5 spd was trouble free up to 38K miles when I traded it in for my 8.

Pics will come tomorrow, not much in the work right now, since if i have money for "toys" then that could go towards paying the car off first.
