Sounds like a really interesting car. I've owned a Cts-V and wile it was a great car, it was too heavy for me to REALLY enjoy it, especially while owning a Rx8 at the same time. Owning an rx8 makes you really appreciate light weight sports cars, as you all know.
The ATS sounds like it could be a great car, especially in the V and coupe form!

Really nice. Sportier than the CTS. The only problem I have is the base engine. A 200 hp 4 cylinder in what is Cadillac's most important car is weak. The car weighs around 3300 lbs so it's lighter than the new 328i at 3400 lbs, but 200 na vs BMW's 240 turbo HP is no competition. My call is Cadillac will scrap the base engine after a year, maybe 2. You probably won't see many reviews with it so I don't see the need for Cadillac to waste time with it. If I was Caddillac I would use a detuned version of the 270 hp engine (say 230-250 hp) as base and retune the 270 hp engine to around 290-300. Further still I would revise the v6 to around 340-350 hp to further distance itself from the turbos and supercharge/turbocharge it for the v. The way they have it now, invariably the 270 hp engine will be compared with the 335i's 300 hp turbo 6 and lose every time.
Handling is where the Caddy can really compare favorably if done right. Hopefully it has the great handling they are shooting for.

Regardless, I can hear the reviewers right now. "Forget the 2.5 liter, instead, opt for the turbo 2.0."
