Would love to do a K-Series Swap if and when my 13B dies..

comebackqid 08-29-2012 07:15 AM

interesting surprised they just didn't go with an SR20DET

I would like to see 3S-GTE, or a 4G63.

R80MAV 08-29-2012 07:15 AM

Moaaar!!

bse50 08-29-2012 07:16 AM

Poor car.

comebackqid 08-29-2012 07:20 AM

^LOL it deserves better right!

paimon.soror 08-29-2012 07:53 AM

damn clean though

nycgps 08-29-2012 09:02 AM

Only morons who cant do rotary right will do such swap

bose 08-29-2012 09:50 AM

:dunno: Can't be making much more power than the 13b. Maybe a bit more torque, but pointless.

9krpmrx8 08-29-2012 09:52 AM

I can dig it.

bose 08-29-2012 10:02 AM

They def did a good job though. I think if your going to rip the soul of the car out and give it some other car's heart, it should be an ungodly v8.

benben01 08-29-2012 10:42 AM

But a big V-8 kills the weight distribution. Love to see a STi 2.8 stroker swap though with a 9,000 RPM redline.

RJayX-8 08-29-2012 10:42 AM

But why......why would someone want to do that other than to say they did it. Honzda RX-civic Booooo. But i will admit very clean

9krpmrx8 08-29-2012 10:43 AM

Why? Reliability.

Umm, the LSx swap is usually not much heavier being that it is an all aluminum block.

bose 08-29-2012 12:30 PM

+1
the torque would make up for any weight distribution compromises.

Not at the track... and swapping a sportscar for anything other than lap times is a waste of money as it drives fast enough already for street use :smoker:

batangisip89 08-29-2012 01:41 PM

Actually saw this car in person at Import alliance, very well done and clean.

bose 08-29-2012 01:41 PM

To each his own, drifting types may disagree.
That said, I wouldn't be doing any of this to my car.
It's staying a rotary, may not always be a renesis, but a rotary none the less.

bse50 08-29-2012 01:48 PM

Meh, it probably won't matter to them... looks like a hard parker: ROTM July 2012 Winner: Ben@K-Tuned.com

450hp as the current goal, 700hp in the future. I'd like to slam a 320hp race prepped rx7 up their arses. With the whole problematic rotary "motor" inside to properly spin their intestines.

9krpmrx8 08-29-2012 01:53 PM

Definitely looks like a dyno queen.
