Wanted to get opinions on today's JDM's scene. 10 years ago, we had rx8's, rsx, s2k, 350z, evo 5, is300 and more.

today, it feels like the only worth while JDM car is either the new WRX STI, 370 and FR-S.

the FR-S is great but a little too slow and materials cheap.

I really am loving the new WRX STI 2015 and is wondering if any other of the manufacturer will bring something as good as Subaru as done.

 

No mention of the R35? Fail.

 

R35 GTR and the LFA are incredible car's... but not affordable. Why aren't the JDM's making something for the average joe?

 

Halo cars aren't affordable, with very rare exceptions.

Otherwise the "halo" car would be lower priced and thus lower performing than something else in that OEM's lineup. Or OEMs with a high performing high priced car like the R35 wouldn't be allowed to have a "halo" at all.
