from the description it sounds like a piece of crap.

 

uh... MX-6 engine? .. i don't know if that one was even built in japan.. they shared the same platform.... to bad it wasn't RWD.. it coulda been the anti-christ to all the 240sx's that sky rocketed since drifting came about

 

If you recall, the Probe was originally slated to replace the Mustang. That would have been a big swing and a miss.

 

its the same as the mazda 626 so there is a jap varient......

The engine they are talking about is the Mazda KL-ZE which is a direct swap for the Mazda KL-03 engine (actually is the same engine with improved cylinder heads, manifolds, and ecu tune) that was in our Ford Probe and Mazda MX-6. It also fits in the Mazda MX-3 and 626 with little modification. The KL-ZE had 200hp stock vs the KL-03's 160hp.
