I knew what it was, Chrysler is thinking about producing this car to compete with the Ford GT, the above car looks like a Fiat.

DING DING DING....very nice!

Actually took the pic off of an old eBay auction. Looks like the poor thing had been abused for quite awhile.

Sorry about blurting the answer before :D

That Chrysler is actually estimated to go for like 200K more than the Ford GT.

The Ford GT actually almost seems like a bargain in comparison!

But the GT is about *pure* sports/race car performance. It's a race car for the road.

The Chrysler seems like an incredibly potent sports car that's also luxurious.

I like the Ford better. It's based off of one of the best sports cars (racing terms) of all time.

no, I was on the wrong track entirely. the Goggomobile was a car model from the late 50's and early 60's. Goggo, erm, Google for more.

This car was featured in a recent issue of Road and Track. I was very surprised that is is a Chrysler.

Hints: It once ran at Le Mans, and they built cars with a wooden chassis.

I saw the car at the North American International Auto Show in Detroit (NAIAS) ! Took a lot of pics but they're too big. And it's a SMG 7-speed, NOT AUTOMATIC...

It's a 7 speed ricardo automatic, one that shifts in 200 milliseconds, but an auto none the less.. I think it's pretty safe to say even if I'm wrong it doesn't have a BMW tranny in it, and the SMG is still an auto.
