Interesting Website for the engine enthusiast
Actually...
A Japanese company used to manufacture a tiny, one-chambered Wankel, for model airplanes. You could hold it in one hand. I think they stopped production about 15 or 20 years ago unfortunately...rumors are always rampant that they plan to re-introduce it. There are usually one or two for sale on eBay every year- expect to pay six or seven hundred bucks for one now.
The company that made them is called OS Max, and they are still in business. I have a few of their model 2-cycle piston engines but never bought the model Wankel...now I'm kicking myself in the head.

Looks like there are several model Wankels on eBay right now, here is one: (6/12/07)

You gotta hear one of these running. Too cool.
Now someone needs to build a scale RX-8 to put it in!

I have an OS Wankel but mine has one main difference to the one in the link. Mine makes less power. That may not sound cool but mine is from the early 70's before they came with peripheral intake ports. Mine has side intake ports which makes it rare. I don't intend to ever run it anyways. The little thing was expensive. I found it in Iowa and paid about $300 for it used.
OS engines is big for model R/C airplanes and cars/buggies. They still make the Wankel and it's still for sale regulary. LIttle 1 rotor, pretty sweet.
