Humorous names for cars
 

I had a laugh when I saw the Pontiac Aztek referred to as the Ass Crack on this board. Reminded me of all the classics like Ford (Found On Road Dead) and Fiat (Fix It Again Tomorrow.)

Some more recent ones I've heard are the Honda del Sol (the del Slo) and the Lincoln Navigator (the Never Get There.)

Any others?

I once read in a Car and Driver magazine there was a car industry review where everybody shows there new concept cars and a well noted car designer (for Ford I think and his name I cant remember) took a look at the Aztek and was quoted for saying it made him think of an angry kitchen appliance...

Not a name, but a funny comment anyway.

I've heard what Pontiac stands for but it may not be appropriate for an internet forum.

Mustang = Rustang
Camaro = Slomaro
Honda = Honduh

I've also heard that Jag stands for Just At Garage.

I'm not sure if this will fit in here or not, but... back in the early 80's when Honda first introduced the Prelude, I had thought it might be kind of cool to take a Prelude body and weld it onto an Audi Quattro frame/driveline.
Then call it a Qua-lude... :rolleyes:
