Srt is relatively cheap and fast as ***** going straight but that's the only thing appealing to me. Then you see a fat old lady in the regular neon next to you in a stoplight and you must feel kind of dumb. I remember reading a couple of people here trading in their srt for Rx8s. I don't think you will see the opposite. Maybe a good candidate for a commuter car though.

The SRT-4 will beat the RX-8 pretty badly from just about any speed whether it be from a roll or dig. From a roll they're pretty close to STi/Evo territory and will beat a Z from a roll. They have been known to trap 103mph stock which is 8-10mph more than most RX-8s trap, an 8-10mph higher trap speeds = *** whoopin. The SRT-4s actually handle pretty well but not as well as an RX-8.

FYI that's not an SRT-4 forum, the SRT-4 guys are far far more harsh on the RX-8, and just about every other car for that matter. Read the SRT-4 forums for a bit and you'd think the SRT-4 is god's chariot :p

The dealership he is talking about matches up a little bit like Sunflower Mazda which is doing a supercharger kit with ATI Procharger.

The SRT4 is gods chariot!!!

These thread make me laugh.

The SRT is DAMN fast. It is, however a FWD compact econocar at heart. A damn fast one, though. Take that for what it is worth.

I like them a lot. I used to have a number of VWs which were also damn fast economy cars. The RX-8 is a completely different animal (different also from 350Zs, STIs etc.). The 8 is much slower than all of them in a straight line - please people get over it. But the 8 posts track times similar to E46 M3s when you put them on a circuit. The 8 also turns in, sets and stops better than any of these cars. For me, that was more important.

SRTs are cool. Owners who think they're car is the best thing out there make me laugh, though. Owers of RX-8s who think our car is a deamon also make me laugh.

Think of the 8 as a scalpel, the SRT as a clever and the Z as a Ginzu.

There talking about no "zoom zoom", I beg to differ.

Would I like more power...of course, but I love my 8 for what it is.

I met a couple of guys with the Neon and they were actually complimenting me on the exhaust sound (rotary sound) and the way the car looked. I guess they were open minded.

Aight!!!! 1st two kills...

i havent had the privlage to race an RX8... BUT, IM GLAD SOMEONE DID. i always wanted to know what's all DA HYPE about that car... Now i know it aint S***!
Im suppose to race one of my pilot's Mini Coop Type S in a few days (out by the Autobahn).
My 1st Sgt is suppose to be gettin his 350Z soon. He claims he "got it". "It's all about the DRIVER", HE SAID. which is tru.
i want the S2 to arrive and installed before his car gets in...
Dusty:
Race the 350 again,if you can, toe-to-toe... need to know the feedback on that!!!
Umm...ok.

Now I know SRT-4 owners ain't the S***! :p

don't touch the fussy babies.

Leave the babies with their 205/50 17s (stock) alone.
We don't want to hear the tires cry (or the drivers).

Thanks 71RoadRunner for saying it. The SRT-4 like the muscle cars are made to be fast in a straight line. People that are stupid enough to spend more money and buy an STi or an RX8 don't give a **** about going fast only. They want the overall package of performance, handling, and quality.

This is all you need to know about those kids driving that Neon. People who are stupid enough to pay more money for PERFORMANCE, QUALITY and HANDLING. LMAO...

Yeah, the SRT isn't that bad a vehicle for it's purpose.. A friend of mine has one which dyno's 250whp.. I didn't believe him until he showed me the graphs.. We joke about each others cars.. he calls mine a rice burner, I call his a coffin on wheels.. which is exactly what a friggin Neon is if you get in an accident
