the LS miata has been done many times. Its a Great car when done right and a pure beast! It has my vote over and over. But I really think you should go with a NB.

While I personally like some clean AE86's, I can easily see why many people wouldn't like the look. A lot of people don't like the FC look either.

I do think the 240 is a good recommendation if the OP likes the look.

 

Too old for me but I do have a soft spot for 240zs. Nice build there.

There's some good ideas in this thread, if I ever win the lottery I'll be building all kinds of crazy stuff, there's just not enough hoverbuses in this world

 

It looks like the Miata will be the way to go. It is the easiest and cheapest swap by far. I really wanted to go with the A4 but the swap is just too new, so I will wait a few years to try that one.
