Got a new car
Well with Mercury offering some awsome incentives plus Zplan I finally got a 2003 Marauder for only 26,000 which is cheaper than the RX8. So technecly I got my 4 doors and performance. But I'll post anything new if it comes up just could not let this go as they sticker for 34,450

After all, I do get the 4 doors and performance, plus handling, exterior styling, well thought-out interior, braking, 6 speed, and of course, rotary !
I believe all of that worth the extra dough, plus I suspect the RX-8 will hold it's resale value much better.

Marauder is pretty cool IMHO. Not something I'd buy personally, but it has got boatloads of power, and a ton of room.
Think of the Marauder more as a 4 door Mustang, and the RX-8 as a 4 door RX-7 and that about does it.
Have fun with your new car!

I drooled over the Marauder for a while. That's great that you got it for $26K. I don't see how anyone could justify $33K for what performance you get.
It has the 4.6L DOHC V-8 that the Mustang GT has, right? I can't speak for performance, I've never driven one... but I've been stuck in traffic next to them a few times, and that engine has the sweetest rumble and the most badass exhaust note of any stock car I've heard.
There was one website I saw that offered a $20K mod. They bore out the cylinders, add a supercharger, put in bigger intakes and exhaust, and change a few other assorted things. End result is 5.4L displacement and (If I remember right) 440 or so horsepower and torque. Sa-weet.

I'm sorry I have not posted lately as I can not find the sight. But now thanks Family guy as now I got it back. The car is amazing in the attintion it gets a lot think COP!!!! Took it to Norwalk done a 15.363 with only 800 miles on it. But the RX8 is what I want to test drive when it comes out. And maybe in 2009-10 I'll get the
RX9 when its out:D Hope everyone gets they'er cars and have fun. As for me I made my choice and am happy as I like to support Ford since my Uncle worked for them from 1953-1994 a long time. Any questions about Ford and Mazda operations just ask.

Tint the windows, put some antenas on it and some steel rims and eveyone will think you have a cop car (like you menitoned). Speedy, yet discrete

I am just saying there goes another member.
I see late model impala's for 9k "used obviously"... they do have lots of space. Not a tough choice really.. RX-8 all the way.
