I wonder what the 24 motorists did to not get let off with a warning?

I like this.
Now if they did it in California. I might not mind driving over there.
I get so tired of idiots sitting in the left lane. Not moving over to let a slighter faster moving car pass.
I think it should be required to know the rules of the road before you get your license. Not just concentrating on how to parallel park.Maybe they should have a little road edicate test when you renew your drivers license or renew your registartion. Fail and no license.

Go get'em WSP!

I am very familiar with drivers from California, Nevada, and Utah. California drivers are the worst at moving over. In my experience, when I come up on a car in the left lane, here's the % that move over:

California 20%
Nevada 50%
Utah 90%

I love this too... Jesus all drivers should be required to take a driving test every 5 years or so...

It might help but probably not. Its kind of like when you were in school and you study hard for a test to pass it, then a few weeks later you probably could not get the same grade without rereading a lot of stuff. People forget things like that easily.

On most drivers tests(probably all) it has a question about what it means when a traffic light switches from green to yellow. Most people seem to think it means "speed up and make it through the light if at all possible" when it actually means "if you can safely stop, then do so". People just do whatever they want and nothing is really gonna fix that.

I can see what you mean but repetition is on my side. If you are required every 5 years eventually you will retain some of the info increasing driver education. Every Way I look at it is a win.

Now the trouble would be getting this law to pass since accidents have been at an ALL TIME LOW since EVER the (Forgot their name, national highway or dept of safety, something like that) started recording so....

They should simply add chicanes in the left lane at quarter mile intervals, using something soft enough not to be dangerous but enough for the car to require body work when hit.

This way, only people who really need to pass will go there.

We did something similar years back, the cops enforced it for about 1 week or so.
The results were great, but soon forgotten by many.
Many drivers have no clue what so ever about driving etiquette.
Many of the drivers pulled over were in shock, explaining "that they would be speeding" if they went any faster........Lol.

Definitely, if possible.
Rule of thumb is "if you are not passing anyone on the right, or if you are being passed on the right - then get the hell over"

speeding is not your concern, the job goes to the police.

u still have to move over, Just think of it, if the guy drives like a maniac then why would you want to "block" him/her ? he/she might go nuts, rear end you then your car flies off the highway.
