Sorry, you got me confused here...you are talking about people buying Gs or 330s?

ooh.
I like the bimmer for the useable back seat and established market and performance.
but
the G35 is cheaper in cost and insurance (I checked) and probably more reliable.
uh,
If I had the extra $4000 I would get the 330i AND if I needed a usable back seat.
otherwise the G35.
The coupe market is strong with the BMW. Don't know about Infiniti. Their sedan market may be better. Resale.

If you RodsterinFL are talking about the G35 coupe, then yes the 330 does have a more useable back seat. But the rear seat room in G35 sedan is greater (more useable) than the 330 sedan.
Equally equipped or close to it - The difference in price between a G35 Sedan and the 330i Sedan is about $7000. $35k vs. $42k
Now the difference between the G35 coupe and the 330 is about $4-5K.
So if we are talking sedans, I would go for the G35 sedan over the Bimmer, and pocket the $7K +. Mag reviews have shown that the G35 sedan has better performance, almost equal handling, & better brakes. I'm suspect the reliability is better on the Infiniti. Only negative on the Infiniti is the interior quality. Exterior styling is subjective to what design you like better.
EDIT:
Let me add that these are both excellent automobiles. I would be happy with either one. Which one I would choose would depend if I was buying or leasing. If I was buying with the intention of keeping the car for a long time, then the G35 would be my choice. If I was leasing for 3-4 yrs, then because of the great lease rate, I would choose the Bimmer. That's a no brainer, especially since I wouldn't have to worry about repairs, since it would be warranty covered.
