All non-787B (LeMans car) 4 rotor car are a custom affair. This one appears to be two 13B-rew fused together on a common eccentric shaft.

How it will fit in a FDs engine bay is beyond me. It is pretty small in there and a 4 rotor is a long engine.

 

I'd never even heard of a four rotor. Of course I'm new to the rotary scene so that's not really a surprise. I just thought it was either really cool or a whole lot of BS.

 

The LeMans winning 787B was a four rotor powered vehicle. It is the only Japanese vehical to win LeMans. Rotary powered cars have since been banned. This is the only Mazda produced four rotor. It could be compared to a 12 or 16 cylinder piston engine, only rarer.

So yeah, it is really cool.
