Fifty Ugliest Cars of the Past 50 Years

As reported by Bloomberg Businessweek.

I can agree with about 95% of these. And I'll admit, I have owned one of these.

Man I love the VW Thing, I always wanted one when I was a kid. I think the Lagonda is a nice looking car. They're ******* crazy for calling the Delorean ugly though! I loved that car and came soooo close to buying one instead of my 8.

I skimmed the list only to make sure the AssTek was on there. It is. All is right in the world.

I can't agree with all of those, but there were times I was kind of embarrassed driving my Enzo.

I think only about half were ugly. Many were just uninspiring. I counted about 5 or 6 that I can't understand how they got there. I found them desirable, like the El Camino.

Complaints that the VW Thing doesn't have a front grill? You have to be kidding me. Whoever came up with this list certainly aren't car people. The Thing and several others shouldn't be on the list. Every Camary, et. al., with a spoiler stuck to the trunk lid, should be.

I wouldn't bash the bar of soap. With the spoiler on the rear they out accelerate the 8.

You can eat their dust.

Parent owned a Gremlin & Pinto when I was growing up...

I owned a 78 Pontiac Sunbird which looked a hell of a lot like a mustang II...

Wife had the Taurus...

Brother In-law owns the Escalade and he had an Aztek (it was a business car, he had no choice)...

I Almost bought a compass, bought a Mariner instead.

That means I'm one degree from 7 of those ugly beasts.

I agree with most, maybe 60% were definites, 30% were just boring and 10% shouldn't have been there.

The new Nissan electric JUKE needs to be number 1 on that list.

It's an Aztek on steroids.

Wow, those are some ugly cars, most of which I've never even seen before. Saw an ugly car on the highway the other day but didn't know what it was. Back window was like rounded on the left side and then the window wrapped around the right side to be the passenger side back window. Was very odd.

That would be the Nissan Cube. And it certainly qualifies.
