It doesnt look like an enzo, if you knotice the hood, its not shaped correctly, and as well as the Tires, there way to big, still such a horrible accident
|
I sure hope for his sake that is was quick and painless. I'm sure he had a brief moment of reflection just before impact.

In this day and age of relatively cheap supercars, I wouldn't be surprised to see more of these incidents. Every account I've read of the new Z06 states that it is down right scary on the track (probably partially due to it's stock tires, but...). The current rendition of the super Vette may appreciate significantly as people destroy them in random fits of snap oversteer. Car and Driver says that only qualified drivers should be allowed to buy one, and I kind of agree. "Race cars on the street" is getting slightly ridiculous. When will too much car catch up with the driver?

I don't think that is a body part in the yellow circle. Under the tarp is probably his legs; cut off during the sideways hit.

What idiot thinks, wow, this guy went out in a bang, he used his car to the fullest? Crashing an exotic car and killing yourself just proves how stupid you are! Either he was suicidal or just stupid. Wrecking a Ferrari is not using it to the fullest. Being able to still drive it 40 years later, now that's a full life.

This thread is funny. I personally dont give a rats a$$ how he feels/felt or for his family. I hope he was smiling the entire time (I would have been)! I bet his butt was clenched up so tight when he started losing control it was still in the seat after the wreck. The only thing that sucks about all this is he ruined a damn nice car erasing himself from the gene pool. All I have to say is, such is life. Oh, the funny thing is you all are actually agruing over this idiot. Actually wasting your time being upset with someone else cause someone you dont know wrecked his car and died haha. You should be happy that he is not going to show up in your neighborhood and run down your friends/family at 200+ MPH driving like a fool and killed himself. Lighten up, this guy showed us life is too short to be so angry about stupid crap. (Note, this is coming from someone that has spent 7 hours sitting in a concrete bunker waiting for the mortars to stop falling from the sky around him!)

make that what? 98 Enzos in the world currently?
such a waste of a good car. |

I was going to say the same thing as deam, but then as I considered it, the piece I think he's referring to as a hood is actually the roof of an Enzo. Though the picture betrays a rather large piece of metal I think this is the only piece of an Enzo it could be. The left rear wheel well and quarter panel are easily identifiable as Enzo. I tried attaching this photo edit I did with the referenced areas (circled in yellow for continuity)... either way, that guy is really dead (as opposed to a little bit dead) and really an idiot... that should be the main focus of this thread |
I don't think it's the roof. As you can see in the picture, the doors make a sort of T-top out of the roof. They open and take part of the roof with them. It could be a piece from underneath the car for all we know.

Doesn't the tread on this tire look like the same Potenzas we have stock?
|
i dont know if its just me, but look at the second picture on the first page . isnt that rim a bit SMALL ? i thought they came stock 19s? that dont look like 19s to me. perhaps it was a replica?

Good call. Forgot about the roof opening up like that, but then what else could it be? Looking at the originally circled photo, one can almost make out a thin line of red along the edge of the "hood" that would lead one to speculate as deam did. I'm pretty confident the car WAS an Enzo, but I just can't tell what the hell THAT PIECE IS... :dunno: Kudos to Blue Eyes... :yelrotflm |
I showed my Italian friend the picture and he doesn't think it looks like an Enzo either, but he said it's hard to tell since it is just crumpled metal at this point. His family is one of the mega rich types that collect and drive expensive cars (investment banker plus trust fund brat). He, himself, has a 2005 Ferrari Spider (not sure which type except that it is convertible) and his dad has a 2005 Ferrari Maranello 575M.
